English abstract

We analyzed the scientific production by Spanish forest collection ISI (Institute for Scientific Information Inc.) in SCI-Web of Science from 1994 to 2003, by applying social network analysis to the network of research topics, previously obtained by analysis associated word, the latter giving the strategic diagram of the major research topics, subnets descriptors and magazines and the authors of each subject. The use of social network analysis allows better visualization of the network of research topics and improves and expands the analysis of forest research during the study period

Se ha analizado la producción científica forestal española recogida por ISI (Institute for Scientific Information Inc.) en SCI-Web of Science desde 1994 hasta 2003, mediante la aplicación del análisis de redes sociales a la red de temas de investigación, previamente obtenida mediante análisis de palabras asociadas; este último permite obtener el diagrama estratégico de los principales temas de investigación, las subredes de descriptores y las revistas y los autores de cada tema. El empleo del análisis de redes sociales permite una mejor visualización de la red de temas de investigación y mejora y amplia el análisis de la investigación forestal durante el periodo de estudio.
