English abstract

Review of a book by Chris Oliver, who is able in a short text (103 pp.) to introduce us in the context of RDA with a clearly written basic guide, with numerous bibliographic references. Includes a selection of resources and further reading on the subject and an index. It is a basic work to learn the new system and prepare for the transition since, in the words of the author, "the implementation of RDA will have an immediate impact on catalogers, as well as designers and administrators of library systems"

Reseña del libro de Oliver, que consigue en un breve texto (103 p.) introducirnos en el contexto de RDA mediante una guía básica redactada con claridad y con numerosas referencias bibliográficas. Incluye al final una selección de recursos y lecturas sobre el tema y un índice analítico. Es una obra básica para conocer el nuevo sistema y preparar la transición ya que, en palabras de la autora, “la implementación de RDA va a tener un inmediato impacto en los catalogadores, así como en los diseñadores y administradores de los sistemas bibliotecarios"
