English abstract

Web 2.0 has generated deviations in the route of information, which causes irreversible changes in information systems. With the use of these resources by the library emerge the concept of Library 2.0 (L2) and innovations in their services, with user participation, which became also a developer. The paper clip in the scientific literature and aims to describe the principal products and services offered by the L2, such as blog, wiki, content syndication, social bookmarking, social cataloging, OPAC 2.0 and social networking. The L2 represents a growth in traditional services, and asynchronous static library, providing opportunities for winning new users. The deployment of products and services in libraries, with the use of Web 2.0 resources, requires planning, critical analysis of politics and reality of the library and note the uncertainties of new paradigms.

Portuguese abstract

A web 2.0 gerou desvios no percurso da informação, o que acarreta mudanças irreversíveis nos sistemas de informação. Com a utilização desses recursos pela biblioteca surge o conceito de Biblioteca 2.0 (L2) e inovações nos seus serviços, com a participação do usuário, que se tornou colaborador da mesma. O artigo faz recorte na literatura científica e objetiva descrever os principais produtos e serviços a serem oferecidos pela L2, como: blog, wiki, sindicalização de contéudo, marcadores sociais, catalogação social, OPAC 2.0 e redes sociais. A L2 representa evolução nos serviços tradicionais, estáticos e assíncronos da biblioteca, oportunizando conquista de novos usuários. A implantação de produtos e serviços em bibliotecas, com a utilização de recursos da web 2.0, requer planejamento, análise crítica da política e da realidade da biblioteca e atenção as incertezas de novos paradigmas.
