English abstract

This article analyses and describes the present outlook of trade union archives, archives that habitually have been grouped with those of the world of work or of the worker’s movement. The current situation is revealed, along with the variety of models that exist, depending on the different union and archival traditions. Finally, an analysis is made of the reality of Spanish and Catalan union archives,especially those of the CCOO and the UGT, which touches upon reconstruction, efforts to compile archival collections and the gradual professionalisation of the process, as well as an overview of the current situation.

Es proposa una anàlisi i descripció del panorama dels arxius sindicals. Uns arxius que habitualment han estat agrupats amb els del món del treball o amb els del moviment obrer. S'exposa la seva situació actual i la diversitat de models en funció de les diferents tradicions sindicals i arxivístiques. Finalment, es fa una aproximació a la realitat dels arxius sindicals espanyols i catalans, especialment als arxius de CCOO i UGT, la seva reconstrucció, els esforços per recollir fons documentals i la seva progressiva professionalització. Un balanç de quina és la situació actual.
