English abstract

The information and content that our users require, should be able to reach them in their hands, on-site and tailored to your needs. The development of ICT, including the Web, we can meet information needs, beyond the barriers of time, media and distances. But that same Web that both encourages and gives us also becomes our main competitor in attracting the attention of our users. Our web sites and portals will have to be then, as "findable", interesting, reliable, effective and easy to use that seduce and fidelicen to users, making them return again and again to our site. In this paper are defined and briefly introduce the topics SEO and usability, suggesting initial basic strategies to improve the services we offer our website users.

Spanish abstract

La información y los contenidos que nuestros usuarios requieren, debería poder llegarles a sus manos, en el lugar y medida de su necesidad. El desarrollo de las TIC, y entre ellas la Web, nos permite satisfacer necesidades de información, más allá de las barreras de tiempo, soportes y distancias. Pero esa misma Web que tanto nos favorece y aporta, también se convierte en nuestro principal competidor a la hora de atraer la atención de nuestros usuarios. Nuestras páginas y portales web, tendrán que ser entonces, tan “encontrables”, interesantes, fiables, efectivas y fáciles de usar que seduzcan y fidelicen a los usuarios, haciéndolos retornar una y otra vez a nuestro sitio. En este paper se definen e introducen brevemente los temas posicionamiento en buscadores y usabilidad, sugiriéndose estrategias básicas iniciales para mejorar los servicios web que ofrecemos a nuestros usuarios.
