English abstract

The main aim of this paper is to start reflection around critical aspects for the effective management of university libraries from the organizational point of view. The discussion is based on the tripod that serves as the organizational foundation, that is, people, structure, and technology. It presents factors that determine and/or influence the organizational structure of the university library, emphasizing the role that it plays in its efficient management

O objetivo do trabalho é provocar reflexão em torno de aspectos críticos para o gerenciamento eficaz de bibliotecas universitárias sob o ponto de vista organizacional. A discussão se baseia no tripé que alicerça uma organização, ou seja, pessoas, estrutura e tecnologia. Apresenta e discorre sobre os fatores que determinam e/ou influenciam a estrutura da biblioteca universitária, enfatizando o papel que desempenha em seu gerenciamento
