English abstract

An interview with Tommaso Giordano, the first Italian delegate to the European OCLC Meeting (OCLC EMEA-2012). Giordano discusses the evolution of this cooperative world wide organisation, increasingly focusing attention on European libraries and innovation in services and research and development programmes. The situation of Italian libraries is also discussed, considering in particular the critical issues related to the emerging challenges of the Italian library network, SBN. Finally, there is a general reflection on the evolution of library cooperation in the new communication landscape, from traditional models to new collaborative paradigms based on web 2.0 approaches.

Intervista a Tommaso Giordano, primo rappresentante italiano al congresso annuale di OCLC-EMEA 2012. Giordano discute dell'evoluzione di questa organizzazione cooperativa con particolare attenzione agli sviluppi europei delle sue attività. La situazione delle biblioteche italiane viene anch'essa esaminata con particolare riguardo allo stato di SBN. Infine una riflessione di carattere generale rispetto al mutato panorama dell'informazione in transizione dal modello tradizionale a nuovi nuovi paradigmi basati sulle istanze dettate dal web 2.0.
