English abstract

This Paper describes about how the librarians, as an Information Manager, should know and implement an Information Literacy. Why, because with the IL knowlege librarians will be able to give a better services to the customer. In line with the new Indonesian Freedom of Information Act (UU no 14 th 2008 mengenai UU Keterbukaan Informasi Publik) which in force since 2008, this Act requires every informotion centers/ libraries under the Government to give the information to public.
