English abstract

In 1987, the Austrian University Libraries and the Austrian National Library started the implementation of the online library networking and management system, BIBOS, which will offer also an online public access catalogue (OPAC). After discussing the basic design of the forthcoming OPAC, a specification of its required features is formulated (access, search functions, output, interface to circulation control).

An den österreichischen wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken wurde 1987 mit dem Aufbau des Online-Bibliotheken-Verbundsystems BIBOS begonnen, in dem auch ein Online-Publikumskatalog (OPAC) bereitgestellt werden wird. In diesem Aufsatz werden nach der Erörterung grundsätzlicher Eigenschaften des zu installierenden OPACs Forderungen deponiert, wie dessen Funktionen (Zugang, Suche, Ausgabe, Schnittstelle zum Entlehnmodul) zu realisieren sind.
