English abstract
To provide a common ground for dialogue between scientists and between scientists and the society, repositories of different kind are constructed. Recently there are more than 1500 repositories registered all over the world and the number is rapidly growing. They constitute a global database of open access research. Digital collections produce an interoperable and innovative network across the world for better efficiency and greater impact of science. Under ECNIS Network of Excellence (Environmental Cancer Risk, Nutrition and Individual Susceptibility) a free-access subject-specific repository has been created. The ECNIS Repository (http://ecnis.openrepository.com/ecnis/) collects and make available, according to the Open Access rules, the publications, reports and presentations in the fields of toxicology, epidemiology, occupational exposures, food and nutrition, chemistry and molecular biology, Browsing is possible by subjects (key words – 2000+), authors (2200+), titles (400+) etc. Records from ECNIS Repository are harvested by DRIVER - pan-European infrastructure of Digital Repositories.
