English abstract

Intellectual capital is a set of intangible assets, intangible assets and capabilities are critical and are manifestations of individual and organizational knowledge. Intellectual capital is applied experience, relationships with external agents and professional skills that add value to the organization, but not always these intangibles are identified by all.   Intellectual capital is not an end to the company, by contrast, is a means or an input that can compete and survive in global markets locally. In this context, it can be said that intellectual capital alone is not a competitive advantage, its importance is used to achieve innovation, technological capacity, the creation of value or superior results.
