English abstract

The country requires to create a national agenda on information literacy, which must be created by the educational, informational and library sectors. A normative document of this nature would allow Mexico to have a clear objective regarding information skills, which are vital for lifelong learning. Such an agenda must be part of a national plan of informational development, a document which also is required to be elaborated in our country, in order to join its efforts for a long term direction. This brief participation enumerates, as a brainstorm, some of the priority actions on information literacy.

Spanish abstract

El país requiere crear una agenda nacional en materia de desarrollo de competencias informativas, la cual debe ser creada por el sector educativo, informativo y bibliotecario. Un documento normativo de esta naturaleza, permitiría a México, tener un objetivo claro en materia habilidades informativas, las cuales son indispensables para el aprendizaje de toda la vida. Dicha agenda debe ser parte de un plan nacional de desarrollo informativo, documento que también requiere elaborar nuestro país, para encauzar sus esfuerzos en una dirección de largo plazo. En esta breve participación se listan, como lluvia de ideas, algunas acciones DHI de carácter prioritario.
