English abstract

The article analize the open data concept, that requiere many more conditions than merely accesible through Internet in any format. It gives some examples about the importance of research open data repositories to promote the transparency also in science development in order to avoid scientific fraud. The article also shows some of the main problems in the management of data repositories.

Spanish abstract

El artículo analiza el concepto de datos abiertos, que debe cumplir muchos más requisitos que el de estar simplemente accesible a través de Internet en cualquier formato. Ofrece algunos ejemplos sobre la importancia de los repositorios de datos científicos en abierto para favorecer la transparencia en el desarrollo de la ciencia y evitar el fraude científico y pone de manifiesto algunos de los problemas en la gestión de estos repositorios de datos.
