English abstract

Book review: This book is interesting from the practical point of view for those who are begining to teach distance learning, having previously some experience on traditional teaching. It may also be of interest to those experienced in this field, by comparing their experience with the considerations given by the author, generally well written and made ​​with success. Instead, unfortunately, the book do not offers theoretical reflections nor discusses current trends and prospects. Finally, one wonders from reading if we should use more intensely the experience on distance education that we already have, to contribute to a profound rethinking of classroom or hybrid teaching.

Spanish abstract

Se trata de un libro estimable desde el punto de vista práctico para quien se inicie en la enseñanza a distancia a partir de cierta experiencia de la enseñanza presencial. También puede tener algún interés para los experimentados en este ámbito, al efecto de contrastar la propia experiencia con las consideraciones apuntadas por la autora, en general bien encaminadas y formuladas con acierto. En cambio, desafortunadamente, no se entra apenas en reflexiones teóricas o en discusión de tendencias y prospectiva. Por último, cabe preguntarse a partir de su lectura si no deberíamos usar más intensamente la ya estimable experiencia de la enseñanza a distancia para contribuir a un replanteamiento profundo de la enseñanza presencial o híbrida.
