English abstract

Analysis of the main systems of identification and profiles of research staff. This paper analyses different initiatives that have come to identify the researcher and his/her curriculum; these systems have been implemented by government agencies, librarians and archivists, producers and distributors of databases and consortia with the participation of all entities involved in the scientific production. From the review of the most representative initiatives, several considera- tions are proposed for the development and improvement of such systems; in addition, some cla- rifying guidelines for researchers are presented, taking into account that their implementation is a complex problem involving a large number of stakeholders with opposing views on some of the issues to be addressed such as access to information, privacy issues, business models and co- llaboration, or intellectual property rights. It can be concluded that there is a need for systems that integrate author identifier and profile, allowing interoperability solutions that have been tes- ted in the library sector, and promoting their acceptance and widespread use by the scientific community.
