English abstract

The Research Institute of Materials Science and Technology (INTEMA) of the city of Mar del Plata, originated in 1982 under the Faculty of Engineering of the UNMdP, now depends on the UNMdP and CONICET. This study was requested by the Board of Directors of INTEMA occasion to spread the institutional h index, an indicator recognized scientific system for its importance in providing a comprehensive view of the impact of an institution or researcher. It also presents timing indicators of scientific production, scientific journals where they are published, productivity indicator, geographical affiliation and main themes, the system automatically grants Scopus-Elsevier. For this worked was used SCOPUS database, access granted by the Electronic Library MINCyT. The search was limited scientific journal articles published between 1996 and 2012, the total sample is 1110 citations.

Spanish abstract

El Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencia y Tecnología de Materiales (INTEMA) de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, se originó en 1982 dependiente de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la UNMdP y en la actualidad depende de la UNMdP y CONICET. El presente trabajo fue solicitado por el Consejo Directivo del INTEMA, con motivo de difundir el índice h institucional, indicador reconocido en el sistema científico por su importancia en ofrecer una visión integral del impacto de una institución o investigador. También se exponen los indicadores de distribución temporal de la producción científica, revistas científicas donde más se publica, indicador de productividad, filiación geográfica y principales temáticas, que el sistema Scopus-Elsevier otorga automáticamente. Para este trabajo se utilizó la Base de Datos SCOPUS, acceso otorgado por la Biblioteca Electrónica MINCyT. La búsqueda se limitó artículos publicados de revistas científicas entre el 1996 y 2012, la muestra total es de 1110 citas.
