English abstract

In that work the theoretical treatment presented by Hannah Arendt on the theme of the civil disobedience in her book Crisis of the Republic will be analyzed, tracing a parallel with the practices of the Movement of the Landless Rural Workers regarding the legitimacy of their acts of civil disobedience. Under this focus the struggle for land comes as a possibility of the members being integrated in community founding public space and developing its capacity of political action, characteristic essential of the human life.

Nesse trabalho será analisado o tratamento teórico apresentado por Hannah Arendt sobre o tema da desobediência civil em sua obra Crises da República, traçando um paralelo com as práticas do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem-Terra no que tange à legitimidade dos seus atos de desobediência civil. Sob esse enfoque a luta pelo acesso a terra se apresenta como uma possibilidade de que seus integrantes integrem-se em comunidade fundando um espaço público e desenvolvendo sua capacidade de ação política, característica essencial da vida humana.
