English abstract

This article aims to show how useful is to belong to a network of collaboration among peers or institutions to achieve a greater and a better development, without losing sight of the common good through mutual aid. In Mexico, this is a practice that takes place in a formal or informal set and it is very common among the guild of librarians establishing, first of all, common interests that contribute to the resolution of technical problems and that encourage professional performance through partnerships and synergies. Different aspects of library networks pursuing different aims and achievements are shown and listed in this article.

Spanish abstract

El presente artículo pretende mostrar cómo beneficia el pertenecer a una red de colaboración entre pares o instituciones para lograr un mayor y mejor desarrollo, sin perder de vista el bien común a través de la ayuda mutua. En México, es una práctica que se efectúa de manera formal o informal y es muy común entre el gremio bibliotecario, estableciendo de primera mano intereses comunes que contribuyen en la resolución de problemas técnicos y que nutren el desempeño profesional, gracias a las alianzas y sinergias. Se muestran la diferentes vertientes de redes bibliotecarias que persiguen distintos fines y se enumeran logros.
