English abstract

Currently, mobile information and communication technologies represents an effective tool for the disseminating of information. Under certain conditions the information could become independent of time and space. Producers of the electronic information sources adapt their services for mobile devices. The information they provide can be ubiquitously accessible by users. However, are users ready to use information provided in the professional electronic information sources through the mobile technologies? What features should have an appropriate information architecture of the user interface? Are currnet interfaces usable for the access to these services? This poster represents an introduction to the beginning research, which should provide answers to the questions above. It focuses on the challenges and opportunities of the mobile information and communication technologies in the access to the professional electronic information sources.

Czech abstract

Mobilní informační a komunikační technologie dnes představují efektivní nástroj pro šíření informací, které se tak za splnění určitých podmínek mohou stát nezávislými na čase a místě. Producenti elektronických informačních zdrojů přizpůsobují své služby mobilním zařízením. Jimi poskytované informace tak mohou být všudypřítomně dosažitelné jejich uživateli. Jsou však uživatelé ochotni využívat profesionální EIZ prostřednictvím mobilních technologií? Co by měla obsahovat vhodná architektura uživatelských rozhraní, aby odpovídala všem uživatelským požadavkům? Jsou stávající prostředí, ve kterých uživatelé přistupují k takovým informacím, vhodná a použitelná? Poster je zaměřen na představení začínajícího výzkumu, v rámci kterého by měly být zjištěny odpovědi na výše uvedené otázky. Zaměřuje se na výzvy a příležitosti, které mobilní informační a komunikační technologie představují v otázce přístupu k profesionálním elektronickým informačním zdrojům.
