El proyecto de la Web Semántica se presenta como un gran reto y una oportunidad para darle una mejor estructuración a la información en la Red. Este artículo pretende presentar un seguimiento del proyecto de la Web Semántica, sus ventajas, desventajas, utilidades y el papel del profesional de la información en el desarrollo del mismo, así como mostrar la oportunidad que se presenta para estos profesionales de contribuir al éxito del proyecto en mención.
