English abstract

The society we live in is part of a system in which the transformations arising technological advances directly affect the social and cultural structure and these structures also influence these technological changes. The study of semiotics makes up each increasingly necessary for understanding and extracting information contained in this exponential amount of symbols, signs and images which increasingly presents itself in our day-to-day. Grounded in semiotic foundations and methodologies of Librarianship for processing and information retrieval, the aim is to study the creative aesthetic process- images and analyze its inclusion on the World Wide Web through the creation of the tender digital artist, which is the object of study of this research. The results revealed the occurrence informational gains and losses resulting from changes in the language of the Book of Artist - From analog to digital - which indicates the importance of professional information in effecting this change intersemiotic with use of treatment programs image.

Portuguese abstract

A sociedade em que vivemos está inserida em um sistema em que as transformações decorrentes do avanço tecnológico afetam diretamente a estrutura social e cultural e essas estruturas igualmente influenciam nessas transformações tecnológicas. O estudo da semiótica faz-se cada vez mais necessário para o entendimento e a extração de informações contidas nessa exponencial quantidade de símbolos, signos e imagens e que cada vez mais apresenta-se em nosso dia-a-dia. Embasados nos fundamentos semióticos e nas metodologias da Biblioteconomia para o tratamento e a recuperação da informação, objetiva-se estudar o processo criativo-estético de imagens e analisar a sua inserção na World Wide Web, através da criação do caderno de artista digital, o qual é o objeto de estudo dessa pesquisa. Os resultados revelaram a ocorrência de perdas e ganhos informacionais decorrentes da mudança de linguagem do Caderno de Artista – do analógico para o digital – o que permite concluir pela importância do profissional da informação na efetivação dessa mudança intersemiótica com uso de programas de tratamento de imagem.
