English abstract

Open Access journals for library and information studies: an overview of recent developments (translation of the title). This contribution presents an overview of the open access journals in the field of library and information studies in the German-speaking countries. "GMS Medizin – Bibliothek – Information", "LIBREAS. Library Ideas" and "Mitteilungen der Vereinigung Österreichischer Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare" are the well-established journals of this kind. In the last two years, two new online journals – "Perspektive Bibliothek" and "027.7 Zeitschrift für Bibliothekskultur" – have entered the market. Furthermore, two periodicals which were founded only very recently – "o-bib – das offene Bibliotheksjournal" and "Informationspraxis" – are to appear in the last quarter of this year (2014).

German abstract

In diesem Beitrag werden die Open Access-Zeitschriften des deutschsprachigen Raumes im Fachgebiet Bibliothek und Information überblicksartig dargestellt. Dies sind zum einen die bereits etablierten Journale "GMS Medizin – Bibliothek – Information", "LIBREAS. Library Ideas" und "Mitteilungen der Vereinigung Österreichischer Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare". Zum anderen traten in den beiden letzten Jahren mit "Perspektive Bibliothek" und "027.7 Zeitschrift für Bibliothekskultur" zwei neue OA-Journale auf den Markt. Dazu werden zwei erst jüngst gegründete Zeitschriften stoßen – "o-bib – das offene Bibliotheksjournal" und "Informationspraxis" –, die beide noch in diesem Jahr erscheinen sollen.
