English abstract

Business Process Modeling may lead, eventually, to the design of Information Systems to support such processes. However, quite often, the user experience is not taken into consideration, which may cause difficulties in use and usability. The processes lack the Information Sciencie point of view, more especifically, its studies on user and information use. This article analyse the factors involved in this problem and proposes an integration of the modeling and the user experience through the use of scenario tool.

A modelagem dos processos de negócios (MPN) das organizações pode levar, eventualmente, à construção de Sistemas de Informação (SI). Entretanto, nem sempre a experiência do usuário é levada em conta, criando dificuldades de uso e usabilidade na MPN e nos sistemas resultantes. As metodologias de MPN apregoam a participação do usuário, mas são baseadas em ferramentas de cunho técnico, que dificultam esta participação. Faltam a estas metodologias a visão da Ciência da Informação, com estudo de usos e usuários. Apresentam-se algumas abordagens de MPN e Engenharia de Usabilidade, e propõe-se a ferramenta Cenário como alternativa para mitigar este distanciamento, no sentido de integrar a modelagem com a experiência do usuário.
