English abstract

We discuss, based on the first results of teaching a course for teachers to prepare them so that they can publish in indexed journals, that the term "state of art" is either misunderstood or poorly managed. Define the “state of the art" on the research topic as a basic step is discussed. The importance of this in the process of building new knowledge as essential in order to clarify the contribution of the article to publish step is analyzed. An analysis of the occurrence of the term "state of the art" in Google Scholar, in the title of the article and for publications in 2014 are presented and compared with its counterpart in English "state of art The English term "state of art" is not only much more used than its counterpart in Spanish, but mentioned much more, with an average of 0.91 citations per article. These results confirm the experience gained in the first version of the developed course (RML Consultores, 2014).

Spanish abstract

Se discute, a partir de los primeros resultados de impartir un curso dirigido a docentes para prepararlos para que puedan publicar en revistas indexadas, que el término “estado del arte”, es o mal entendido o poco manejado. Se discute la importancia de poder precisar “el estado del arte” sobre el tema a investigar y la importancia de este en el proceso de construcción de nuevo conocimiento y como paso indispensable para poder precisar el aporte del artículo a publicar. Se presenta un análisis de la aparición del término “estado del arte” en Google Académico, en el título del artículo y para publicaciones aparecidas en 2014 y se compara con su similar en inglés “state of art”. El termino en inglés “state of art” no sólo es mucho más empleado que su similar en español, sino más citado, con un promedio de citas por artículo de 0.91. Estos resultados confirman las experiencias obtenidas en la primera versión del curso desarrollado (RML Consultores, 2014).
