English abstract

The author of the article highlights the approaches of different authors to the semantics of the term «professional competence». The structural components of professional competence of library and information sector staff have been determined. The investigator suggests the perspective directions of increasing the level of librarians’ proficiency in the context of an educational transformation. The key aspects of the conceptual apparatus development have been considered on the basis of which the definitions of certain concepts, for example: «professional culture of an expert» and «professional competence», have been generated.

У статті висвітлено підходи різних авторів до семантики терміна «професійна компетентність». Виокремлено структурні складові фахової компетентності працівників бібліотечно-інформаційної сфери. Запропоновано перспективні напрями підвищення професіоналізму бібліотекарів у контексті освітніх трансформацій. Розглянуто ключові аспекти розвитку поняттєвого апарату за проблематикою розвідки на основі чого сформовано власні дефініції понять «професійна культура фахівця» та «професійна компетентність».
