English abstract

The article focuses on the DART-Europe E-Theses Portal which was created as a result of a strategic collaboration of research libraries and library consortiums with a single goal – to improve the global access to theses and dissertations created in Europe. The text primarily introduces this web portal and describes its individual features such as various services and functions as well as search options and metadata records. Secondarily a brief evaluation of the entire system is offered.

Czech abstract

Článek se soustředí na portál elektronických disertací DART-Europe, který je výsledkem strategické spolupráce akademických knihoven a knihovnických konsorcií s cílem zlepšit přístup k evropským disertačním pracím v celosvětovém měřítku. Text v prvé řadě portál představí a popíše jeho jednotlivé parametry včetně dílčích služeb, možností vyhledávání informací a metadatových záznamů. Následně je celý systém vyhodnocen.
