English abstract

This paper analyzes the desirable characteristics in a digital library of old printed books, focusing on a specialized user profile. To do this, a study of user needs and requirements of a specialized group has been conducted, based on the tasks needed to be performed in the digital library. After defining the requirements,the work compare these with differente digital libraries, concluding that there is a great difference between user needs and the available systems.

Spanish abstract

Este trabajo analiza las características deseables en una biblioteca digital de impreso antiguo, centrándose en un perfil especializado de usuarios. Para ello, ha llevado a cabo un estudio de necesidades y requerimientos de usuario de un grupo especializado, atendiendo a las tareas que necesitan llevar a cabo en la biblioteca digital. Una vez definidos los requerimientos, compara éstos con varias bibliotecas digitales de impreso antiguo, concluyendo que se aprecia una gran diferencia entre las necesidades de los usuarios y los sistemas disponibles.
