English abstract

The article focuses on OpenAIRE portal, a service provider over digital archives and repositories, which was launched in 2009 with a singular goal – to provide unlimited access to research outputs and scholarly literature in Europe. The first part of the text briefly describes the history of the portal, its structure from the technical standpoint and the set of available services. The second segment analysis the user interface as well as the search options. Lastly, statistical data and a final assessment are provided.

Portál OpenAIRE je výsledkem stejnojmenného projektu Evropské komise s cílem podpořit otevřený přístup k výsledkům vědecké a výzkumné činnosti v celoevropském měřítku. Portál umožňuje vyhledávání publikací z různých zdrojových archivů a nabízí četné nadstavbové služby. Článek tyto služby a možnosti vyhledávání analyzuje a v závěru nabízí stručné vyhodnocení.
