English abstract

Internet and World Wide Web were designed as research resources. It has been diverted society that this use was planned. Many aspects of our daily life, of which no less important are the media, have changed dramatically in the last twenty years. In a just act of reciprocity, it would be nice that science and research from obtaining advantage of these changes to its aims and procedures. In this paper we apply this thinking to science as a shared activity and emerging forms of research.

Tanto la Internet, como la propia World Wide Web, fueron diseñadas como recursos de investigación. Ha sido la sociedad la que desvió este uso, que era el previsto. Muchos aspectos de nuestra vida cotidiana, de los cuales los menos importantes no son los de comunicación social, han cambiado drásticamente en los últimos veinte años. En un justo acto de reciprocidad, estaría bien que, como ya está sucediendo, de forma progresiva y eficiente, la ciencia y la investigación obtuviesen provecho de estos cambios para sus fines y sus procedimientos. En este trabajo aplicamos esa reflexión a la ciencia como actividad compartida y a las modalidades emergentes de la investigación. En lo relativo a la e-ciencia, el uso de los entornos sociales y en general de Internet no sólo tiene efectos en la obtención de conocimiento sino también en su difusión operativa en el mismo momento en que se producen. El acceso abierto a los datos y a los resultados produce una retroalimentación en la propia investigación que le confiere una naturaleza compartida, colaborativa y más potente desde la perspectiva de la propia investigación. Por otro lado las modalidades de investigación centradas en el diseño no solo pueden validar el diseño sino aportar información relevante en el contexto y en el progreso de la propia investigación.
