English abstract

The article resumes statistically proven evidence from a survey in relation to "TEMPUS JEP 14464-99" Project, seeking to harmonize the European and Bulgarian library and information practice in the field of reference servicing in academic libraries. The pursued goal is to make the library a leading co-partner in acquiring a level of excellence in higher education. The main focus of the survey is to estimate the rate of the implementation of new practices and adopting successful experience and measure users' benefits. The stress comes upon the complimentary education of library subject librarians and the effect on structural changes in libraries to raise level of library servicing.

Bulgarian abstract

Представя статистически обосновани заключения от проведено проучване във връзка с проект ТЕМПУС "JEP 14464-99", целящ хармонизиране на европейската и българската практика в областта на библиотечно-информационното обслужване на академичните библиотеки в страната с цел подпомагане и предлагане на качествено висше образование. Главна цел на проучването е да установи степента на приложение на усвоените нови практики и ползите за потребителите на библиотеките. Акцент е и допълващото обучение на специализирани библиотекари с ефекта му върху структурни промени в библиотечните институции, с цел подобряване на обслужването и гарантиране качеството на библиотечно-информационните услуги.
