English abstract

Illustrations and graphics accompany textual information in books and journals. They are visual intermediary between the book and the reader. The mediation can be interpreted as synergy and completion between art and literature. This is a dialogue between the artist and the writer on the pages of the publications. Bulgarian illustrations historical background is reviewed.

Илюстрациите и графичните изображения съпътстват текста в книги и списания. Те са визуалния посредник между книга и читател. Това посредничество може да се разглежда като взаимодействие и допълване между изобразително изкуство и литература. Това е общуване-диалог между художника и писателя по страниците на изданията. В този аспект е представено развитието на българската илюстрация във времето.
