English abstract

The paper gives an overview on Indo-German cooperative activities in the years 2002-2006 which have taken place with the financial and logistic support of Max Mueller Bhavan, the Indian branch of Goethe Institute, the German cultural organisation in foreign countries. Bi-lateral cooperation as well as study trips of Indian LIS experts to Germany are described. The role of Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Germany, as one of the heavily involved partnes is explained.
