English abstract

Given the rapid progress of digital transformation, the long-term preservation of digital information is one of the most urgent challenges facing us. The article provides a concise overview of the developments to date. It highlights problem areas and desirable goals, identifies coordination and cooperation as urgent tasks, and urges libraries to redouble their efforts with regard to addressing the issues and providing suitable training.

Die Langzeitsicherung digitaler Informationen zählt angesichts der fortgeschrittenen digitalen Transformation zu den drängendsten Herausforderungen. Der Beitrag gibt einen knappen Überblick über bisherige Entwicklungen. Er zeigt Problemfelder und Desiderate auf, identifiziert Koordinierung und Kooperation als vordringliche Aufgaben und appelliert an die Bibliotheken, sich verstärkt inhaltlich sowie mit geeigneten Qualifizierungsanstrengungen in diesem Bereich zu engagieren.
