English abstract

This bibliometric research attempts to measure impact factors, author productivity distribution and collaboration rates of authors from Indonesian Journal of Chemistry 2007 - 2011. Using the two years impact factor formula to count year by year impact factor’s rate, Lotka’s law and citation analysis to describe the author productivity distribution, and also Subramanyam formula to count collaboration rates. The result of this research shows that the impact factor is 0,006 at 2010 and 0,007 at 2011. It founds that there are 90 citations from IJC 2007-2011, but 88 citations are self-citations, so that it is omitted from the calculation. The article productivity is 22,8 articles per edition and 68,4 articles per year. The contribution of author from Gadjah Mada University is only 21,35%, means that IJC is in high demand from other institutions. Percentage of foreign institutions is 40,94%, whereas domestic institutions is 59,06%. Percentage of authors contributing 1 article is 75,23%, 2 articles is 13,53%, 3 articles is 5,62%, and 19 articles is 0,15%. Lotka’s law cannot applied to IJC 2007-2011. Using Kolmogorov-smirnov goodness of fit, it is obtained that maximum deviation is D(maks) = 0,0786, bigger than critical value in 0,05 is K-S = 0,0530. Most of the article is produced through collaboration, with the collaboration’s rate is 0,82, and the average collaboration is 3,05 authors per article.

Indonesian abstract

Kontribusi penulis UGM hanya sebesar 21,35%, IJC sangat diminati penulis institusi lain.
