English abstract

During the 80s and 90s of the last century eBooks based on dedicated reading devices have been discussed predominantly. Meanwhile webbased ebooks offered by aggregators dominate the market. These ebooks which are specially offered to libraries, their functional characteristics and value adding features as well as the marketing concepts applied are described and analysed.

In den 80er und 90er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts fokussierte die Diskussion um eBooks auf Produkte für gerätespezifische Wiedergabesysteme. Mittlerweile dominieren webbasierte Angebote von Aggregatoren das Thema eBooks. Angebote von Aggregatoren für Bibliotheken, ihre funktionalen Spezifika und informationellen Mehrwerte sowie die aktuell erkennbaren Angebotskonzepte werden dargestellt und analysiert.
