Results from a survey done to LIS Journals' editors. opinions of editors and directors of Library and Information Science journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Knowledge in terms of current situation and forecast of open access, peer review procedures, functionalities and specialization. The response rate was 22% and some remarkable conclusions are: the major business model for journal publishing will be open access into 5-10 years and institutional support is the preferred source of financing; review process is faster, since more than 90% of those who responded require less than two months and the main problems are low quality of texts and finding reviewers; functionalities such as mobile version of the journals, social media, data policy and altmetrics have to be exploited yet; interdisciplinary will increase their presence in journals specially from Communication, Management and Computer Science as a related areas.
