English abstract

The University Hospital of Udine (AOUUD) has developed a training package for a variety of professionals interested in document search in HTA. The package is divided into a basic version for lectures to medium and large-sized groups and into an advanced version for immersion training to small groups. The basic version consists of 4 hours training and provides an illustration of national and international HTA sites, the presentation of the AOUUD search engine called "Health Technology Assessment Engine (HTAE)” and the use of the NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) system for the storage of specific filters. The advanced version is five days long and includes: - The introduction of HTA and how to conduct literature search and criteria for resource assessment (day 1) - International Institutional sites with reference to the tools related to drugs search, the HTA search engine made by the Unit of Health Technology Assessment (UVTS) based on Google charateristics, the definition of the format to be used for the preparation of the final paper (day 2) - The literature search in PubMed (day 3) - The EBM databases and tools (day 4) - The portal of the Library of Medicine and the drafting of the final report (day 5) The course is adjusted according to the expertise and the type of professionals involved. The basic version was used at 10 training programs, including two Masters, to about 270 recipients and was the subject of 4 thesis. CME credits were awarded and a number of trained professionals are utilizing HTAE. The advanced course, conducted as a pilot project, has involved 5 professionals who have produced papers regarding specific topics. The two training packages have proven to be a helpful operative instrument that can be easely personalized.

L’Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Udine (AOUUD) ha definito un pacchetto formativo per diverse tipologie di professionisti interessati alla ricerca documentale in HTA. Il pacchetto è articolato su una versione base per lezioni frontali a gruppi medio-grandi e una versione avanzata per la formazione full immersion per piccoli gruppi. La versione base è impostata su un intervento max 4 ore e prevede l’illustrazione dei siti internazionali e nazionali di HTA, la presentazione del motore di ricerca aziendale "Health Technology Assessment Engine" (HTAE) e l’utilizzo del sistema NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) per l’archiviazione di filtri specifici. La versione avanzata si sviluppa in 5 giornate a tempo pieno e prevede: L’introduzione all’HTA e la ricerca bibliografica, i criteri di valutazione delle risorse (1° giorno); I siti internazionali istituzionali con riferimento agli strumenti per la ricerca riferita ai farmaci, il motore di ricerca tematico HTA realizzato grazie alle prerogative di Google dall’Unità di Valutazione delle Tecnologie Sanitarie (UVTS), la definizione dello schema da utilizzare per la stesura dell’elaborato finale (2° giorno); La ricerca bibliografica in PubMed (3° giorno); Le banche dati e gli strumenti EBM (4° giorno); Il portale della Biblioteca di medicina e la stesura dell’elaborato finale (5° giorno). Il percorso formativo è modulato in base alle qualifiche dei professionisti coinvolti. La versione base è stata utilizzata in occasione di 10 iniziative formative, compresi 2 Master, per circa 270 destinatari e ha consentito la realizzazione di 4 tesi e l’assegnazione di crediti ECM e l’adozione del motore di ricerca tematico da parte dei professionisti formati. Il corso avanzato, condotto come esperienza pilota, ha coinvolto 5 professionisti che hanno prodotto un elaborato strutturato su specifici argomenti. I due pacchetti formativi si sono dimostrati un utile strumento operativo di semplice gestione e personalizzazione.
