English abstract

This conference had the aimed to promote the debate on the future of public libraries, current theme by issues such as increasing digitization of works, the digital market of reading or the beginning of conception of these centers as “third place". As a result of the conference, some works on the topic were made by several professionals who participated in it, trying to go beyond the usual conference papers.

Spanish abstract

Estas Jornadas tuvieron como objetivo avivar el debate sobre el futuro de las bibliotecas publicas, tema actual por cuestiones como el incremento de la digitalización de obras, el mercado digital de la lectura o el inicio de la concepción de estos centros como "tercer lugar". Como consecuencia se realizaron una serie de textos por parte de varios profesionales que participaron en las mismas, yendo más allá de unas actas al uso.
