English abstract

Social networking systems based on messaging are occupying a space of communication and information that seemed restricted to email. However, the launch of Google Wave has put the possibilities of mail back on the table, if they are integrated into platforms that provide mechanisms for cooperative response and more flexible collaborative editing.

Los sistemas de redes sociales basados en mensajería están ocupando un espacio de comunicación e información que parecía restringido al correo electrónico. Sin embargo, el lanzamiento de Google Wave ha puesto de nuevo sobre la mesa las posibilidades del correo, si se integra dentro de plataformas que ofrezcan mecanismos de respuesta cooperativa y de edición colaborativa más ágiles.
