English abstract

Like other social environments, libraries are being required to adapt to a world where information is becoming increasingly digitized and can be accessed at any moment in any place. For this reason many library institutions are redesigning the spaces in which they offer services and the rules by which they operate, tailoring these to suit the changing behaviour, needs and habits of users and communities. Many centres are creating spaces enhanced by advanced tools and applications that inspire and facilitate learning, discovery, creation and experimentation. One of the most innovative models for change considers the library as a vehicle for content generation and a space where communities can be created and promoted.
