English abstract

Spanish bibliographic and documentary heritage suffered many significant losses during the Spanish Civil War. This article discusses its beginnings during the period of the Second Republic and describes the most significant destructions taking place during the actual war conflict. A short analysis of these destructions is carried out for future research.

El patrimonio bibliográfico y documental sufrió cuantiosas y significativas pérdidas durante la Guerra Civil. En este artículo analizamos sus precedentes durante la Segunda República, así como las destrucciones más significativas en el transcurso del conflicto, como aproximación a las mismas para futuras investigaciones.
