English abstract

This work deals with the process of interpretation of information in the main information behaviour models and information literacy guidelines and programs. The presence in the main information literacy guidelines of competences and skills relating information interpretation, such as evaluation, summarization, synthesis, comparation and integration of information, is described, and how these competences and skills are evaluated and promoted in information literacy programs are analyzed.

Spanish abstract

En este trabajo se aborda el proceso de interpretación de la información en los diferentes modelos de comportamiento informativo y su reflejo en las principales normas y programas sobre alfabetización informativa. Se describe cómo las normas sobre alfabetización informativa inciden en la interpretación de la información a partir del desarrollo de habilidades y competencias relacionadas con la evaluación, el resumen, la síntesis, la comparación y la integración de la información, y se analiza la forma en que estas competencias y habilidades han sido evaluadas y promovidas en los programas de alfabetización informativa.
