English abstract

It was intended to know the value of the institutional repository (IR) Sapientia, for the research community of the University of Algarve (UAlg). It was questioned to what extent the research produced at UAlg between 2011-2015 is being deposited in the RI. It was concluded that only about 35% of the publications indexed in the Web of Knowledge, are deposited. A questionnaire was launched to the community of teachers, researchers and fellows available in Portuguese https://www.ualg.pt/pt/content/quanto-vale-um-repositorio and in English https://www.ualg.pt/ En / content / how-valuable-repository, to obtain information about its scientific output, its perception and use of RI and its opinion on Open Access to scientific information. A 40% response was obtained, and some preliminary conclusions were presented on the poster.

Pretendeu-se conhecer qual o valor do repositório institucional (RI) Sapientia, para a comunidade de investigadores da Universidade do Algarve (UAlg). Questionou-se em que medida a investigação produzida na UAlg entre 2011-2015, estará a ser depositada no RI. Concluiu-se que somente cerca de 35% das publicações indexadas na Web of Knowledge, estão depositadas. Foi lançado um questionário à comunidade de professores, investigadores e bolseiros disponível em português https://www.ualg.pt/pt/content/quanto-vale-um-repositorio e em língua inglesa https://www.ualg.pt/en/content/how-valuable-repository, para obter informação sobre a sua produção científica, a sua perceção e uso do RI e a sua opinião sobre o Acesso Aberto à informação científica. Obteve-se 40% de respostas, e tiraram-se algumas conclusões preliminares, apresentadas no póster.
