English abstract
While Library Science and the digital humanities have many ways of interaction, we can say that the most confluent is knowledge management (especially with the advent of Big Data). The librarian has the capacities to operate a wide range of digital humanities projects, which does not implicate that they can fully articulate them, for it will require to formalize its conceptual approach. One of the most fruitful manifestations developed in recent years between Library Science and the digital humanities is produced through theoretic research —in addition to the development of information tools and resources—. In the areas of digital democracy (as the increase of citizen politic participation through the use of computational technology routed towards communication and the exchange of information) and the digital citizenship (understood as a framework made of norms and rights which is widened with the use of these technologies).

La bibliotecología y las humanidades digitales tienen varias vías de interacción, puede decirse que la más confluente es la de la organización del conocimiento (sobre todo con el advenimiento de los Big Data). El bibliotecario posee capacidades para operar proyectos de humanidades digitales de una amplia gama, lo cual no implica que pueda articularlos cabalmente, pues para ello requiere formalizar su acercamiento conceptual. Una de las manifestaciones más fructíferas desarrollada en los últimos años entre la bibliotecología y las humanidades digitales se produce a través de la investigación teorética —además del desarrollo de herramientas y recursos informativos— en los terrenos de la democracia digital (como el incremento de la participación política ciudadana a partir del uso de tecnología computacional encaminada a la comunicación y al intercambio de información) y la ciudadanía digital (entendida como un marco de normas y derechos que se ve ensanchado con el uso de estas tecnologías).
