English abstract

This paper presents a brief and systematic study on reproduction services in academic libraries using copiers and printers for the use of students in higher education institutions. Services are compared by many students and the prices paid for printing and photocopying in libraries. From data analysis, the decision making about service is easy for whom has the responsibility to take administrative decisions in a service unit.

Spanish abstract

Este trabajo presenta un estudio breve y sistemático sobre los servicios de reproducción en bibliotecas académicas mediante fotocopiadoras e impresoras para el uso de estudiantes en instituciones de educación superior. Se comparan los servicios por cantidad de estudiantes y los precios que se pagan por imprimir y fotocopiar en las bibliotecas. Por medio del análisis de los datos recopilados la toma de decisión sobre el servicio se facilita para quienes tienen la responsabilidad de tomar decisiones administrativas en una unidad.
