English abstract

Google and eIFL have developed a joint imitative to make accessible print archives of scholarly journals. They have suggested Bulgarian Information Consortium to digitize the print archives of selected Bulgarian journals and index them in Google Scholar. Though many publishers try to digitize most of their production, still very few of the scientific publications ara fully accessible. In order to have almost simultaneously scholarly materials available Google have developed a program for digitization and making accessible archival collections.

От скоро Google Scholar и eIFL работят съвместно по нова инициатива, свързана с предоставянето на достъп до архивите на научни списания. Предложение в тази насока е отправено към Български Информационен Консорциум (БИК). Идеята е свързана с дигитализиране и индексиране на архивите на български научни списания в Google Scholar. Въпреки че много издатели и организации се стремят да осигурят онлайн достъп до своите периодичните издания, значителна част от научните публикации остават недостъпни в електронен вид за неопределено време. С цел да направи видими тези научни издания, Google предлага програма за дигитализация и осигуряване на онлайн достъп до архивните колекции.
