English abstract

The article describes possibilities of the computer processing in various fields of work in libraries and in information and documentation centres and criticaly compares the advantages and defici-ences of the main frame computers and micro computers. Combination of both apperently appears as the most fruitful and economical solution. Technical description of microcomputer Sinclair ZX Spectrum (48 K) and its necessary additional equipment Is followed on by the representation of the home-made program set INES, which allows various functions Including text editing, data basic managing system and data input system. Experiences of some library-lnfor-mation centres, which operate the programe, prove the applicability and financial adequacy of suggested solution.

Slovenian abstract

Prispevek nakazuje možnosti, ki jih računalniška obdelava nudi na različnih področjih delovanja knjižnic in INDOK centrov, pri tem pa kritično primerja prednosti in pomanjkljivosti velikih sistemov In mikroračunalnikov. Komplementarna uporaba mikroračunalnika in obdelav na velikih računalnikih pomeni za naše razmere najugodnejšo in tudi najcenejšo rešitev. Tehnični predstavitvi mikroračunalnika Sinclair ZX Spectrum (48 K) in potrebne dodatne opreme sledi prikaz domačega programskega paketa INES, ki združuje funkcije urejevalnika besedil, sistema za upravljanje podatkovnih zbirk (IRS) in sistema za vnos podatkov. Izkušnje nekaterih knjižničnoinformacijskih centrov, ki program že uspešno uporabljajo, Ilustrirajo praktično uporabo in finančno upravičenost predlagane rešitve.
