English abstract

For weeks now I've been seeing an advertisement in different media that is getting into my eyes and whenever I find it I can not avoid looking at it. This is the colorful proposal made by some of the most popular companies in the field of domain registration that offer the possibility of using web addresses (domains) whose completion (TLD) is very different from the usual .com,. is, .org, or .net, etc. Apart from commercial services or innovative marketing techniques, what has called my attention to these extensions is that their use on websites would allow the user to easily identify their objectives and the nature of their content. As a result, the search through the web would be streamlined and the spam would be reduced.

Hace semanas que llevo viendo un anuncio en diferentes medios que se me está metiendo por los ojos y siempre que lo encuentro no puedo evitar mirarlo. Se trata de la colorista propuesta realizada por algunas de las empresas más populares del sector del registro de dominios que ofrecen la posibilidad de utilizar para un sitio web direcciones web (dominios) cuya terminación (TLD) es muy diferente a los habituales .com, .es, .org, o .net, etc. Al margen de servicios comerciales o técnicas de marketing novedosas, lo que me ha llamado la atención de estas extensiones es que su utilización en los sitios web permitiría más fácilmente al usuario identicar sus objetivos y la naturaleza de su contenido. Como consecuencia la búsqueda por la web se agilizaría y el spam se reduciría.
