English abstract

The April 2018 issue of the American libraries magazine, the ALA magazine, the American Library Association, is a monographic issue dedicated exclusively to the state of libraries in the United States in 2018, to take a photograph of the situation in which they find themselves, and detect and put on the table their main problems and current and future trends that have been detected. This year, this study was edited by Kathy S. Rosa. The monograph is divided into the following sections: first, an introduction is made to then analyze the situation of university, school and public libraries. Finally, the problems and trends are analyzed, both professionally and at the national level of the United States. A social, cultural and economic situation that is part of a context in which, as referred to in the presentation of the report, according to the Pew Research Center, an increasing percentage of the population believes that librarians and librarians they can help you locate and manage trusted and relevant information, while providing them with a safe work and leisure environment.

El número de abril de 2018 de la revista American libraries, la revista de la ALA, la American Library Association, es un número monográfico dedicado exclusivamente al estado de las bibliotecas de los Estados Unidos en 2018, a hacer una fotografía de la situación en que se encuentran, y a detectar y poner encima de la mesa sus principales problemas y las tendencias actuales y futuras que se han detectado. Este año, este estudio lo ha editado Kathy S. Rosa. El monográfico se divide en las siguientes secciones: en primer lugar, se hace una introducción para, a continuación, analizar la situación de las bibliotecas universitarias, escolares y públicas. Finalmente, se analizan los problemas y las tendencias, tanto a nivel profesional como a nivel nacional de los Estados Unidos. Una situación social, cultural y económica que se enmarca en un contexto en que, tal y como se hace referencia en la presentación del informe, según el Pew Research Center, un porcentaje cada vez más elevado de la población cree que los bibliotecarios y las bibliotecarias pueden ayudarles a localizar y gestionar información de confianza y pertinente, al mismo tiempo que les proporciona un entorno seguro de trabajo y ocio.

El número d'abril de 2018 de la revista American libraries, la revista de l’ALA, l'American Library Association, és un número monogràfic dedicat exclusivament a l'estat de les biblioteques dels Estats Units d’Amèrica el 2018, a fer-ne una fotografia de la situació en què es troben, i a detectar i posar sobre la taula els seus principals problemes i les tendències actuals i futures que s'han detectat. Aquest any, aquest estudi l'ha editat Kathy S. Rosa. El monogràfic es divideix en les següents seccions: en primer lloc, es fa una introducció per, a continuació, analitzar la situació de les biblioteques universitàries, escolars i públiques. Finalment, s'analitzen els problemes i les tendències, tant en l’àmbit professional com nacional dels Estats Units. Una situació social, cultural i econòmica que s'emmarca en un context en què, tal com es fa referència a la presentació de l’informe, segons el Pew Research Center, un percentatge cada cop més elevat de la població creu que els bibliotecaris i les bibliotecàries els poden ajudar a localitzar i gestionar informació de confiança i pertinent, al mateix temps que els proporciona un entorn segur de treball i lleure.
