English abstract
The library must be attentive to the needs of all users, regardless of the skills, abilities or dexterity they have. Bringing the library closer to its users is one of the premises of the library system of the Catholic University of Córdoba (UCCB), as well as to develop actions that increasingly insert the library into the community. With these assumptions an innovative experience was started in the field of the university library with the objective of collaborating in the development of a more inclusive education through an interdisciplinary contribution. It is the volunteering in digitizing and editing texts for the visually impaired held in the framework of the Library System of the Catholic University of Córdoba in collaboration with the Program for the Disability Inclusion at the University (ProINDU), the Civil Association TifloNexos and Red Mate (Tiflo Educational Materials). We start by posing the need to make text books accessible to students with visual disabilities, we then outline the steps taken, we describe the process of digitizing and editing, and the difficulties and unexpected positive impacts encountered. Lastly, we highlight the importance of the interdisciplinary contribution to success of the project.

La biblioteca debe estar atenta a los requerimientos de todos los usuarios, sin importar las capacidades, habilidades o destrezas que éstos tengas. Acercar la biblioteca a sus usuarios es una de las premisas del sistema de Biblioteca de la Universidad Católica de Córdoba (UCCb), así como desarrollar acciones que inserten cada vez más la biblioteca en la comunidad. Con estas premisas se inició una experiencia innovadora en el ámbito de la biblioteca universitaria con el objetivo de colaborar en el desarrollo de una educación más inclusiva a través de un aporte intredisciplinario. Se trata del voluntariado en digitalización y edición de textos para personas con discapacidad visual realizado en el marco del Sistema de Bibliotecas de la Universidad Católica de Córdoba en colaboración con el Programa de Inclusión de la Discapacidad en la Universidad (ProINDU), la Asociación Civil TifloNexos y la Red Mate (Materiales Tiflo Educattivos). Se parte de la necesidad de hacer accesibles los textos de estudio los alumnos con discapacidad visual, se plantean los pasos seguidos, se describe el proceso de digitalización y edición, se determinan las dificultades encontradas y los impactos positivos no esperados. Se plantea además, la importancia del aporte interdisciplinario para desarrollar con éxito la tarea.
